Hardware Compatibility:
Ondata RecoverySoft is a WIN32 Application that uses direct hardware access. It was designed to run on i386 compatible platforms only. The software has not been tested on emulated systems, Macintosh Platforms or other processor platforms that may be available. We have experienced no problems with IDE or SCSI Drives and have successfully tested the software on FireWire and USB 2.0 Disk Drives. Ondata Recovery Software is NOT compatible with recovering CD ROMS, CDR's or CDRW's but these devices can be used for storage if they are mounted as Direct CD's - as long as the data being recovered is not on the system drive.

Recommended Hardware Configuration:

The information about each file on the disk is stored in a file record.
